The body of Mrs. Carlinda (sic) Kerr, 81 who died Sunday at Lima, Ohio, will arrive in Veedersburg Tuesday evening and be taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cecil Shoaf. At 2 p.m. Thursday funeral services will be held at the Cooper Chapel and burial in adjoining Cemetery Fishero Undertakes in charge. Mrs. Kerr, resident most of her life in Veedersburg had been residing in Lima with her daughter, Mrs. Mary Sampson. Brief services were held in Lima Tuesday. She was b. in Illinois Feb 2, 1862 the daughter of Hugh and Nancy Cory Abernathy. The family moved to this community when she was a child. On Sept 26, 1876 she was married to Eliza Kerr. He preceded her in death in 1921. Surviving are two sons in Lafayette, Percy and Earl; four daughters, Mrs. Sampson in Lima; Mrs. Daisy Littler of Sterling, CO ; Mrs. Cecil Shoaf of Veedersburg and Mrs. Bertha Long of Crawfordsville. Also three brothers, Samuel and Pearly both of Danville and Thomas Abernathy of Cates, Indiana.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Carlinda Kerr,
former Veedersburg resident who died at the home of her daughter, in
Lima, Ohio on Sunday.  Mrs. Kerr resided most of her life in Veedersburg
had be en residing at Lima with her daughter, Mrs. Mary Sampson. Brief
services were held in Lima. She was born in Illinois Feb 2, 1862, the
daughter of Hugh and and Nancy Cory Abernathy. the family moved to this
community when s he was a child. On Sept 26, 1876, she was married to
Elija Kerr.  He preceded her in death in 1921.  Surviving are two sons
in Lafayette; Percy and Earl; four daughters, Mrs. Sampson in Lima; Mrs.
Daisy Littler of Sterl ing, Colo; Mrs. Cecil Shoaf of Veedersburg and
Mrs. Bertha Long of Crawfordsville. Also 3 brothers, Samuel and Pearly,
both of Danville and Thomas Abernathy of Cates. Services were held at
Cooper Chapel with burial in the adjoining cemetery with Fishero & Son
in charge.
